Sir,
Even politics and that also of very cheap nature are done in serious issue like crime against women. In West Bengal, for instance, the rate of crime against the women has risen considerably like that in Delhi. An example of bizarre politics over such crimes has of late come from a state headed by a woman herself. It is West Bengal wherefrom it has been said by the ruling TMC leaders that crimes against the women are committed by their political opponents, the Left– just to discredit the government. Similarly in UP, Maharashtra, Delhi etc; the blame game is just going on without finding ways to address the problem. That is why on Oct30, the Supreme Court expressed serious concern over the rising number of crimes against women saying they are not safe and even subjected to harassment while traveling in buses. The bench made adverse remarks against the Government saying people have lost confidence in Governments and are coming out on streets in protest, “Why is it happening in the last few years, “it did not happen ten years ago, crime against women has come to the forefront only in the last five years,’ remarked the bench. Can the governments come out with answers?
Yours etc….
