JAMMU, Feb 12: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh today directed the police officers of Rajouri and Poonch District to focus on counter-terror operations and targeting of the Over Ground Worker (OGW) network of the terrorists.
“Our officers need to strengthen both border and hinterland security grid and focus on counter-terrorist operations besides targeting the OGW network of the terrorists,” the ADGP Jammu said on conclusion of his two-day-long visit of the border towns.
The top cop of Jammu also stressed on eliminating all the active terrorists in Rajouri besides collection of effective and actionable intelligence to foil the nefarious designs of the terrorists.
Pertinently, Mukesh Singh, the ADGP Jammu, accompanied by DIG R-P Range, Dr Mohammad Haseeb Mughal; SSP Rajouri, Mohammad Aslam visited Kalakote, Budhal, Rajouri and Surankote areas during his two days visit to the border towns of Rajouri and Poonch.
There (border towns), he was briefed by the officers about a few terror cases which have been worked out by the police in a record time period. He was also assured by the senior police officers that all efforts would be made to improve overall security situation in Rajouri and Poonch.
