Govt MAM College lifts Cricket trophy

JAMMU, Feb 16: Govt. MAM College lifted the inter-collegiate Cricket men ‘strophy by defeating GGM Science College by 43 runs, organized by Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) at JKCA Ground, here today.
The final match was played between Govt. MAM College and GGM Science College at GGM Science College teams, wherein Govt. MAM College won the toss and elected to bat.
Batting first, Govt. MAM College scored 136 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Dikshant and Jahanveer Singh made 38 and 39 runs respectively.
In reply, GGM Science College bundled out at 93 runs in 17.4 overs. For Govt. MAM College, Naveen got 4 wickets by conceding 13 runs.
Prof. Chander Shekhar, Dean Engineering and Computer Technology, CLUJ was the chief guest of the finals match, while Prof. Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Principal GGM Science College was the guest of honor on the occasion.
The match was played under the overall supervision of Dr Vinod Bakshi, Sports Coordinator, Cluster University of Jammu and Physical Director, GGM Science College Jammu.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Sharma, Associate Dean Student Welfare CLUJ, Dr. Jagjeet Singh, Ashok Dutta, former Ranji trophy player, Dr. Roopali Slathia, Physical Director, GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Neenu Sawhney, Physical Director Govt. MAM College, Neelam Chalotra, Assistant Physical Director Govt. MAM College and Suresh Kumar Gupta (Medical Department) were present during the occasion.
The match was officiated by Harsh Nayyar, Rahul, Shiv and Manoj Kumar.
