Shiksha Niketan SSS celebrates Foundation Day

JAMMU, Feb 20: Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School Jeevan Nagar celebrated its 30th Foundation Day as Sports Day in its School premises, here today.
The students and teachers of the School marked the Day in the form of splendid celebrations with enthusiasm and zeal, with integrity, dedication, devotion and loyalty.
The celebration began in the form of a journey of the School which grew from a humble beginning to its eminent stature as it stands today in the presence of our guests.
The special guests of the event were Mukesh Thakur (Founder Teacher of SNS), Dr. Preeti Kour (MD) Psychiatrist in Batra Hospital (Ex-student of SNS), Neha Choudhary (JKAS) and Gold medalist Ashwani Kumar (former student of SNS).
The function commenced with the torch oath ceremony to enliven the sports event. There was a spectrum of virtual programmes presented by the students of different School wings.
The meritorious students were awarded with prizes for their unique performance both in academics and extra co-curricular activities. The students who obtained 2nd and 3rd positions were also awarded the prizes by the special guests. The dignitaries also gave away the prizes to the UT-level winners.
Principal Rameshwar Mengi highlighted the unique educational achievements of the founder Principal Dev Dutt Mengi who was an epitome of grit, integrity and the person of colossal stature.
At the end, Harish Sharma, the Headmaster of the School gave a vote of thanks to all the parents and dignitaries who witnessed the function.
