Srinagar, Mar 2: The Health & Medical Education (H&ME) Department today ordered the confirmation for the appointment of Dr Masood Tanvir Bhat as the Principal, Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar after 4 months he took over the charge on a temporary basis.
His appointment was earlier carried out on the basis of verbal orders issued by the H&ME Department soon after the retirement of Dr Samia Rashid on October 31, 2022. It was said that Dr Masood Tanvir will hold the charge till a regular appointment is made in this regard.
However, after the passage of 4 months, the H&ME has now issued the confirmation orders in favour of Dr Masood Tanvir as the Principal, GMC Srinagar.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Dr Masood Tanvir Bhat, Professor & HoD Medicine, Government Medical College, Srinagar as Principal, Government Medical College, Srinagar, w.e.f. 03.11.2022 in Pay Level-15 (Rs. 182200-224100),” read an order issued by the H&ME.
