KATHUA, Mar 8: JCC Kathua trounced KKR Marheen by 4 wickets, while Billawar Cricket Club defeated Friends Sports Cricket Club Bani by a big margin of 121 runs during the 2nd day of ongoing Police Martyrs Cricket tournament being played at DPL, here today.
The first match was played between KKR Marheen vs JCC Kathua wherein KKR team won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 134 runs by losing 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, JCC Kathua team easily chased down the given target in the 19 overs and won the match by 4 wickets. Sheetal made 36 runs off 19 balls, with the help of 3 sixers and 1 boundary and was declared as man of the match.
The second match was played between Billawar Cricket Club and Friends Sports Cricket Club Bani team wherein Billawar Cricket Club team won the toss and elected to bat first and gave the target of 198 runs on the scoreboard in 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Akshit scored 101 runs in 48 deliveries with 6 maximum and 12 boundaries.
In reply, Friends Sports Cricket Club Bani team failed to chase the given target and bundled out at 77 runs in 13.4 overs, thus Billawar Cricket Club thrashed Friends Sports Cricket Club by a big margin of 121 runs.
Akshit was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance.
