ANANTNAG, Nov 12: Defeating Arhama Club in an exciting contest by four goals to three (4-3) in the summit clash, Goodwill School Kharpora lifted the title trophy in Anantnag District Korfball Championship, organized by District Korfball Association Anantnag at Government Higher Secondary School Kharpora, here.
AR Rather, zonal president, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kokarnag was the chief guest on the occasion, while Shabir Ahmad Peer, zonal secretary PDP was the guest of honour.
The Championship was held under the auspices of J&K Korfball Association, under the overall supervision of Jahangir Ahmed Bhat, secretary, Anantnag District Korfball Association.
Earlier, in the final, Goodwill School rode on a splendid show by Majid, who scored 2 handsome goals and a goal each from Tabasum and Kousar defeated Arhama Club in a close contest by (4-3) goals. For Arhama Club, Bazala scored 2 goals, while Manzoor managed to score one.
