JAMMU, Mar 10:A delegation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee Sector One and Sector 2 led by Roshan Lal Raina and Sanjay Ganjoo the presidents of respective sectors highlighted the demands of the area before him.
The delegation demanded immediate allotment of land to Jal Shakti Department for construction of Over Head Tank (OHT) and Tube Well in the area so that the water scarcity problem faced by the people is settled once for all.
The Vice Chairman JDA informed the delegation that the allotment of the land has been referred to Board and most probably the issue will be settled soon.
The delegation later met the RTO demanding matador service from Bus Stand to Durga Nagar. The delegation also met the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu and sought his intervention in granting route transfer permission as people are facing problem due to lack of matador facility. The ADC issued instructions to RTO Jammu to take early action in the matter.
The other members of the deputation included C L Zutshi, Avtar Krishan, M K Raina, Roshan Lal Koul, Bharat Bushan Gosani and Bushan Lal Koul.
