IMPHAL, June 17: Loktak Brigade of Red Shield Division hosted a ceremony at Kanthai in Bishnupur District today to honour MC Mary Kom, who has brought laurels to Manipur.
The ceremony was attended by more than 300 people of Bishenpur district.
The five times World Boxing Champion is the only Indian woman boxer to have qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics.
The large congregation from Nilakutti village witnessed and revelled the match which was won by the local Nilakutti Youth Club team. (PTI)
