Army organizes medical camp at Machchedi

KATHUA, Nov 13: Two-day medical camp at Machchedi by Burj Division of the Army under its multifarious program for the welfare and development of the local communities of Jammu and Kashmir, concluded today.
The aim of the camp was to provide the medical facilities to the isolated and far flung villages of the area like Nathi, Barnota, Loai and Mular.
On second day of the camp, a large number of people thronged the medical camp from far flung areas. Many infirm patients were brought on horseback from inaccessible areas.
More than 600 patients benefited from this camp on the second day.
Specialists like Gynecologist, Dentist and Optician also provided their services in this camp. Specialist Medical equipment including ECG Machine, Dental Chair and Pathology Lab were made available during the camp. Apart from the regular treatment the Army also distributed Walking Aids, Wheel Chairs and spectacles to the needful people.
During the medical camp, Army doctors also organized lectures on women and child health care in which large number of women and girls participated. At the end of these lectures the participants were given first aid kit.
