JAMMU, Mar 14: Jammu and Kashmir to host 84th Senior National and Inter-State Table-Tennis Championship from March 20 to 27, wherein top peddlers including Sharath Kamal Achanta, Manika Batra, Sathiana Ganasekaran, and many other National/ International players are expected to part of this mega event.
The Senior National and Inter-State Table Tennis Championship is being organized by J&K Table Tennis Association under the aegis of Table Tennis Federation of India at Gymnasium Hall University of Jammu.
Around 750 players and officials from 34 States, Union Territories and Institutions from all over the country alongwith reputed international Table-Tennis players will compete during the upcoming championship.
“The successful conduct of such mega sports events depends largely upon the coordinated efforts, help from the enthusiasts and those who patronize the games and sports in the country as well as UT,” said an official of the Association while talking with Excelsior.
Another office bearer said that since the J&K Govt. has taken the initiative to promote sports in the Union Territory and making all possible efforts to create a State of Art sports infrastructure of different disciplines, the J&K Sports bodies along with premier body -J&K Sports Council is hosting different national and international events to boost sports culture.
