Illicit timber seized in Baramulla, 3 held

SRINAGAR, Mar 18: Police in Baramulla have seized illicit timber and arrested 3 accused persons involved in commission of the crime.
A police party of Police Station Uri under the supervision of SDPO Uri Shokat Ali arrested three persons identified as Ali Mohd son of Ab Aziz, Farooq Ahmad son of Ab Hameed Mir & Gh Mohd Bhat son of Mangi Bhat, all residents of Nambla Uri, and recovered illicit forest timber measuring about 35 CFt on their disclosure at Nambla Uri.
Accordingly, police said, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Uri and an investigation has been initiated.
