JAMMU, Nov 15: Pacca Danga police today arrested three gamblers and recovered Rs 5,000 stake money from their possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific information, police party from Pacca Danga Police Station led by SHO Mahesh Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Kulbir Handa and SP City Yougal Manhas conducted raid at Old Rehari area and arrested three gamblers.
The gamblers have been identified as Pawan Kumar, son of Faqir Chand of Old Rehari, Mohammad Hussain, son of Samundar Khan and Sunil Kumar, son of Bakshi Lal, both residents of Ustad Mohalla.
“Rs 5,000 bet money and play cards were also recovered from the spot”, he added.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Pacca Danga Police Station and investigation started.
