JAMMU, Nov 19: Using the slogan ‘Don’t litter, it makes the world bitter’, the NCC Senior Wing girl cadets of GGM Science College organized a programme on ‘Awareness on Waste Management’ in the College premises, here.
The event is a part of NCC Week celebrations planned by NCC Directorate, Jammu Group, J&K from November 17 to November 24, 2013.
The NCC Senior Wing cadets under the guidance of College Principal, Dr Satinder Singh and NCC Officer Lt Anjana Sharma displayed banners, posters, charts and models for discussing the necessity of waste management and recycling of the waste products in our society.
Lt Col Abrol, Commanding Officer, 2 J&K Girls Bn NCC was the chief guest on the occasion, who spoke on the hazards of dumping the waste products in the open.
Captain Deepti Shukla, Administrative Officer, 2 J&K Girls Bn NCC and Principal Satinder Singh also spoke on the occasion.
Anjana Sharma presented vote of thanks.
