JAMMU, Nov 19: PG Department, University of Jammu will be locking horns with Government College for Women (GCW), Parade in the summit clash of the Inter-Collegiate Hockey Championship, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education , University of Jammu, here.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, PG Department beat Govt Degree College Poonch by three goals to nil (3-0). Priya Charak scored 2 goals in the 14th and 53rd minutes respectively, while Prabhleen Kour scored 3rd goal for the team in the 44th minute.
In the second semifinal, GCW Parade thrashed GCW Gandhi Nagar by four goals to one (4-1). Nawang Tsomo scored first goal for GCW Parade in the 4th minute. while Anjali scored second goal in the 5th minute to get an early lead. Reena scored 3rd and 4th goal for GCW Parade in 24th and 46th minutes respectively.
The only goal for GCW Gandhi Nagar team was scored by Shivali Devi in the 49th minute of the match. The matches were officiated by D Singh, Joginder Singh, Jashbir Singh and P D Singh.
The final match will be played at 10.30 am at the same venue tomorrow.
