JAMMU, Apr 5: The aspirants of Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES), who were on hunger strike for many days today demanded that to make public the report of the inquiry committee, framed by the Government to probe alleged irregularities in the recruitment process.
The hunger strike of the aspirants of F&ES department is going on in Jammu near Maharaja Hari Singh Park. “We have been on hunger strike in front of the main gate of Maharaja Hari Singh Park for the last many weeks, demanding the J&K administration to make public the report of the inquiry committee, framed to probe alleged irregularities in the recruitment process,” they said while addressing the media persons, today.
They alleged that the recruitment scam in the department is the biggest scam but the LG administration is not admitting the same despite proof of irregularities provided by them several times.
“We applied for the said posts in 2012 but it was found that there was a ‘scam’, then we applied again in 2018 and again a ‘scam’ was found. Last year again another ‘scam’ was also found,” said a protester.
They alleged that the Govt. framed a three member panel, headed by Additional Chief Secretary Home RK Goyal to probe alleged irregularities in December last year but the report has not come till date.
The deserving youth are being made to suffer under the present dispensation as in the last few years, a number of recruitment scams have come to fore in J&K, they said.
