Bureaucracy misguiding LG: JKRCEA

JAMMU, Apr 5: Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA) has claimed that bureaucracy is misguiding J&K LG Manoj Sinha.
In a press conference here today leaders of JKRCEA alleged that constitutional rights of SC, ST, OBCs have been killed in J&K and after the abrogation of Article 370, the socio-economic condition of these marginalised communities have further deterred.
“J&K bureaucracy is not allowing implementation of 77th Constitutional Amendment which has been extended to J&K through Presidential Order,” Prof. G.L Thapa said.
Sham Basson told reporters that ‘Land to Tiller’ was excellent Act of empowering marginalised section in J&K but the Central Government through LG administration is hell bent upon snatching rights from SCs, STs and OBCs.
Other speakers demanded that the LG should ensure that Social Welfare Department should immediately release scholarships to SC and ST candidates which are pending since 2016 in many cases.
Prof. Kali Dass also spoke on the occasion.
T.C Bavouria, M.R Bangotra, G.L Rahi and others were also present in the press conference.
