JU excels in Inter-University Youth Festival

JAMMU, Nov 21:  The Cultural Troupe of the University of Jammu, brought laurels by winning the prizes in 29th North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival held at Baba Sahib Bhim Rao Ambedkar University (Central University), Lucknow recently.
Khasbu Sharma bagged the second prize in Rangoli Competition, while Polina Singh Kala and Apoorva Jamwal fetched the 3rd prize in Debating Competition and Abhinandan Singh bagged the 3rd prize in Elocution (Extempore) Competition.
Mime Team included Mir Maria Abdul, Anku Rajput, Sheriya Gupta, Hempreet Kaur, Nivedita Tickoo and Neesha Pandita also clinched the 3rd prize.
Dr Lalit Sen, Department of Computer Science & IT, Dr Malti Rajput, Govt College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Kulbushan Thakur, Department of Students Welfare, escorted the team.
Governor of Meghalaya, Dr KK Paul was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed the awards amongst the prize winners.
Prof RC Sobati, Vice-Chancellor, Baba  Sahib  Bhim Rao Ambedkar University was the guest of honour.
Prof MP Singh Ishar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu,  Prof Pankaj K.Srivastava, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Neeru Sharma, Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Dr Yash Pal Sharma, Co-Campus Cultural Committee lauded the efforts of the team members for this rare honour.
