Wrestler Babba lifts 30th Dera Kesari Dangal title

REASI, Apr 14: Wrestler Babba of Jammu lifted 30th Annual Dera Kesari Dangal-2023 title by defeating Feeza of J&K Police in the main bout, held at holy shrine Dera Baba Banda Bahadur, here today.
The Dangal was organized by Dera Baba Banda Bahadur Prabandhak Committee and Baba Banda Bahadur Sikh Samardi in the memory of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Baba Jatinder Paul Singh Sodhi.
Saraf Singh Nag, Chairman DDC Reasi was the chief guest. He distributed cash prizes among the winners and runner up wrestlers, while Master Popsy, ASP Reasi  was the guest of honour.
The 1st bout winner Pahalwan Babba was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 6,000 along with traditional  ‘Gurj (Gadda) and Patta’, while runner-up wrestler Feeza was given  Rs. 5,000.
In the second bout, Bablu of J&K Police defeated Kalu of Sonipat  Haryana and were awarded with Rs 5,000 and Rs. 4000, respectively, in the 3rd bout, Ranjeet Singh of J&K Police defeated Atul of Delhi and Mam Hussain of J&K Police trounced Ankush of Sonipat.
The proceedings of the event were conducted by Ved Parkash Makker and Sunny Sharma, while the welcome address was presented by Baba Jatinder Paul Singh Sodhi and the vote of thanks was presented by Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Shiv Kumar Sharma appreciated the organizers for making the arrangements to make the event successful.
Jatinder Paul Singh  Sodhi (Gaddhinasheen),  Sant Kumar Juneja (vice chairman), Prem Dureja (president), Dr. Shiv Shanker Pahwa (coordinator), Ved Makker (general secretary) and Darshan Rewari (vice president) were present during the event.
