JAMMU, Apr 19: Hiranagar Hockey Club and Dashmesh Hockey Club reached into the finals of the ongoing Junior Hockey Tournament (Men) District Jammu, being organized by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K Sports Council at Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here today.
The 1st match was played between Dashmesh Club and BSB Club Poonch, in which former emerged win by 6 goals to 1, while 2nd match was played between Khalsa Juniors and Hiranagar Hockey Club which was won by Hiranagar by 5 goals 4 via shootouts.
The guest of today’s 1st match was Ashok Singh (Divisional sports officer Jammu), while Rajinder Singh (Sr. vice president Hockey J&K) was the guest for 2nd match.
The finals match will be played between Dashmesh Hockey Club Nanak Nagar and Hiranagar Hockey Club tomorrow at 4 pm.
The J&K Hockey office bearers and prominent persons including GS Bakshi, Rajinder Singh, Ishan Sharma, Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi, Gurpreet Singh, Tajinder Singh, RP Singh and Matinder Pal Singh were present during the event.
The match was officiated by a technical panel headed by Gurjit Singh (Former International Hockey Player), Iqbal Singh (NIS), Balmeet Singh, and D. Singh.
