Chenab valley hospitals lack infrastructure, staff: Saroori

KISHTWAR, Nov 23: Despite liberal funding from Centre, health system in State, particularly in rural areas like Chenab valley not only lack infrastructure, but there is also an acute shortage of staff in many hospitals that virtually force the closers of these hospitals.
MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, said,  in response to the problem faced by the people of Inderwal, that he had already taken up the matter with the State Health Minister Shabir Ahmed Khan and also discussed the same with Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Saroori said that both have assured him to address the problem. He said that State Health Minister has assured him that he will provide staff for every Health Sub Centre of Inderwal Constituency as well as in other hospitals of Chenab valley. Saroori said that the main cause of the crises is due to shifting of ISM doctors from the area.
Adding, Saroori said, even though the Union Government pumped hundred of crores of rupees in the State of Jammu and Kashmir under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), but the State Government has failed to make the judicious use of the funds provided by the Government of India and the same can be judged from the poor condition of hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir either in rural or urban areas.
Taking a dig on Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government. He said that Government had fail to improves the health scenario in the area beside failing to deliver good governance. He said in Kuchal area more than 5,000 populations are there but Government is playing with the future of our children and sentiments of general public.
