REASI, Nov 23: Students and staff of Government Higher Secondary School Pouni today took out a “communal harmony” rally.
The rally was flagged off by the Principal of the school, Jagdish Raj Sharma in the presence of SHO Pouni, R.L Sharma, Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Kahna, Ajit Kesar, Sarpanch Pouni, Jugal Banathia, Ranjeet Singh, social activist and local populace.
The rally after passing through main markets of Pouni culminated in the school premises.
Later, a debate was also organised on the topic “Communal Harmony and National Integration”. Nikhil Khajuria, Jiten Dubey, and Farjan Choudhary were adjudged as best speakers. Parmveer Singh and Rasleen Kour and Hardeep Singh were adjudged as all-rounder in having understanding on interfaith events.
In his address, Jagdish Raj Sharma exhorted upon the students and staff to spread message of communal harmony.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Reasi Ashok Kumar also conveyed his message impressing upon students and teachers to become torch bearers of communal harmony and peace.
