SAI STC Jammu shuttlers shine in All India Badminton Rankings

JAMMU, Apr 21: Shuttlers Unnati Jaral and Krishika Mahajan, trainees of SAI STC Jammu qualify for Yonex Sunrise All India Senior National Rankings held at Bahadurgarh (Haryana) recently.
Unnati qualified for women singles event while as the duo of Unnati Jaral and Krishika Mahajan qualified for the women’s doubles events. Both the girls are first in the history of J&K Badminton to qualify for Senior National Rankings after winning 4 rounds in qualification. Although both the players are in U-19 age group yet they have performed well at the senior level.
It is pertinent to mention here that SAI STC Jammu shuttlers also excelled in the recently concluded Inter SAI Badminton tournament held at STC Dhar (M.P), wherein they secured a total tally of 10 medals (2 Gold, 4 Silver, 4 Bronze).
Nadeem Ahmad Dar, Deputy Director SAI has congratulated the athletes and the coach Touseef Ahmad for this achievement.
“This is exemplary and encouraging for all the aspiring shuttlers in J&K and this feat has been achieved only due to the hard work and dedication of athletes and the coaches,” Nadeem maintained.
