Vishu scores sparkling century, SBCC lifts Friendship Cup Series title

JAMMU, Apr 22: Vishu scored a brilliant century as SB Cricket Club defeated Ace Cricket Club by 7 wickets in the summit clash to lift the title trophy of Friendship Cup 3-Match Cricket Series at Country Cricket Stadium, Gharota near here today.
Batting first, Ace Cricket Club scored 176 runs in 25 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Ave Kachroo top scored with 53 runs off 45 balls, studded with 3 fours and one six, while Lalit contributed 41 runs off 36 balls including 3 fours and 2 sixes.
For SBCC, skipper Rajeev Dhar and Sonu Zutshi bagged 2 wickets each.
In reply, SBCC chased the target easily in 20.1 overs by losing 3 wickets to win the match by 7 wickets. Vishu scored power-packed 124 runs off just 69 balls studded with 12 fours and 7 massive sixes.
For Ace Cricket Club, Ave Kachroo took 2 wickets.
For his superb batting display, Vishu was adjudged as the player of the match and best batsman of the series, while Rajeev was declared as the best bowler and Sukhee as the best fielder.
SBCC won the series by 2-1.
