SAMBA, Apr 23: Khairi Mandi Club won Volleyball Tournament title by defeating Dhug Club by 3-1 sets (20-25, 25-28, 25-19 & 25-12) in the finals of the Baba Mahal Dev Tournament, organized by Civil Society of Samyal Birdhari Samba, today.
In the semifinals, Dhug Club trounced Riay Club in the first semifinal, while Khairi Mandi Club beat Gho Brahmana in the 2nd semifinal match.
The chief guest of the final match was Saganthan Mantri BJP J&K Ashok Koul, while BJP leader Naryan Singh, DDC Chairman Samba, Kashav Dutt Sharma, Municipality Chairman, Pawan; Tournament organizer, Jai Dev Singh, Captain Inder Singh, Rakesh Singh and Shiv Charan Singh were among the dignitaries who graced the final day matches of the tournament.
The matches were officiated by Sumant Singh, Ravi Singh, Kulbir Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Shashi Sharma, Uttam Sharma, Bhagwan Dass and others.
The chief guest and other dignitaries awarded winners and runners up team players.
