Presentation Convent holds annual investiture ceremony

JAMMU, Apr 28: Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School Gandhi Nagar today organized annual investiture ceremony in the School premises, wherein Priyalakshmi, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Hiranagar was the chief guest on the occasion.
The day began with a prayer dance followed by a skit in which the students of XII depicted the importance of being a team player. They also sang an inspirational song ‘Legendary.’
The chief guest and Sisters felicitated the newly appointed council members with badge and sashes. The students took the oath to accomplish their duties with honesty, grit and determination.
They pledged to work for the greater glory of God and to carry forward the vision of the Founder, Venerable Nano Nagle.  The outgoing student council was honoured by presenting them with certificates of appreciation.
Reminiscing her journey in School, the head girl, Mahi Gupta expressed her gratitude to her alma mater for nurturing her. The chief guest, in her address congratulated the newly elected council and lauded the efforts of the School for its commitment to excellence in education. She exhorted the council members to become good leaders and uphold human values.
Speaking on the occasion, on behalf of all parents, Kavita Aggarwal, parent of assistant head girl, Shraddha Aggarwal, praised and thanked the School fraternity for its exemplary services in scholastics and co-scholastics.
Manikarnika, parent of Pranaya, primary house captain and an alumna of the School shared her feeling of elation and pride with the audience.
The ceremony came to an end with the vote of thanks by the captains of the primary wing followed by the School song.
