JAMMU, Apr 28: Jammu Motors Private Limited – Nexa has launched a new sub-4 metre compact SUV called the NEXA Fronx.
The launch event was attended by Gaurav Dave, Area Manager, MSIL in the presence of Sanjay Aggarwal, MD, Kanav Aggarwal, CEO and Harmeet Singh, Sales Head, Nexa, along with dignitaries from various banks, NBFCs, and staff members of Jammu Motors Private Limited.
The Fronx was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023 and comes in five variants: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha. The car is priced between Rs 7.46 lakh to Rs 13.13 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Fronx offers two engine options – a 1.2-litre Dual-Jet Dual-VVT petrol engine and a 1 litre Turbo Boosterjet petrol engine. The former can be paired with a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT, while the latter can be paired with a 5-speed MT or a 6-speed AT. The Fronx claims to offer decent mileage, with the 1 MT offering 21.5kmpl, 20.01kmpl for the 1 AT, 21.79kmpl for the 1.2 MT and 22.89kmpl for the 1.2 AMT.
The Fronx is built on the heartect platform and comes equipped with features such as LED multi-reflector headlamps with LED DRLs, automatic headlamps, LED rear combination lamps, shark fin antenna, and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The car is also equipped with a 9-inch HD Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system, wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity, Arkamys surround sound system, automatic climate control, head-up display with turn-by-turn navigation, 360-degree view camera, and wireless charger. Safety features include six airbags, three-point ELR seatbelts, ESP with hill-hold assist and rollover mitigation, ABS with EBD and brake assist, and Isofix child seat mounts.
Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India, said that the Fronx is aimed at young trailblazers who want to stand out with their unique choices.
The car is designed for new-age buyers who are looking for a stylish and unconventional vehicle with dynamic road presence.
The Fronx offers a 1 L Turbo Boosterjet engine which provides an exhilarating acceleration of 0-60kmph in 5.3 seconds. With the launch of Fronx, Maruti Suzuki India aims to strengthen its SUV portfolio and reach a 50% share in the car market.
