Prize winners of Symposium organized by MHS DAV Public HSS Udhampur.

JAMMU, Nov 26: A Symposium on the topic ‘Climate Change and Disasters Management’ was held in the premises of Maharaja Hari Singh DAV Public Higher Secondary School, Udhampur, today.
23 Middle School students participated in the Symposium and expressed their views on the Disasters like Tsunamis, Volcanic Eruptions, Dusty Storms, Forest Fires, Earth Quakes, Landslides, Glacial Surging and Heavy Rainfall etc occurring in the world.
They threw light on the man made disasters due to non stop unplanned constructions, development of colonies, construction of roads, dams etc leading to major havocs.
The Programme was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, District Udhampur.
Speaking on the occasion, School Principal, Durgesh Nandini stressed that students are the best messengers to save societies.
Ishan Sharma was declared first, while Ishat Ani and Manish got second and third position respectively. Raghvi Sharma, Erik Singh and Manv Khajuria were given consolation prizes.
Akash Kerni, Manmeet Singh and Sunita Razdan were the adjudicators of the event.
