JAMMU, May 1: An impressive and glittering closing ceremony was conducted at Rich Harvest School (RHS) to conclude three days of ‘Pegasus MUN’ founded by Former Rich Harvest Head Boy Abhijay Singh Charak, here today.
The Principal Anita Bhatia on behalf of Managing Director Gambhir Dev and Director Ruchi Charak welcomed the chief guest, Kavinder Gupta- former Deputy Chief Minister of J&K, special guest D.C Raina- Advocate General J&K UT, Presiding Officer, Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister of R&B & Higher Education and Chairman Dogra Educational Trust and founder SG Dogra Foundation, Surekha Charak- Chairperson SG Dogra Foundation.
Uma Katal, founder Rich Harvest School and Vice Chairperson SG Dogra Foundation, Samar Dev Singh – Secretary Dogra Educational Trust and Bela Thakur – Principal Dogra Degree College were also present during the event.
The students of Rich Harvest captivated the audience with an energetic urban Punjabi dance.
Kavinder Gupta opined that events like Pegasus MUN are an excellent platform for preparing much needed future leaders, while D.C. Raina while congratulating the participants advised them to give their best as the legacy created by them will be recorded for posterity.
Gulchain Singh Charak praised the MUN team and their leader Abhijay Singh Charak for a job well done. He applauded the depth of knowledge and awareness displayed by the speakers after he made a surprise visit to the different committee rooms.
Ruchi Charak Director RHS advised students to debate amicably and utter soothing words to maintain the dignity of democracy.
The distinguished guests gave away the best delegate prizes and cash rewards to Svdaksh Raina of G.D. Goenka as delegate from Syria -UNHRC Committee, Khushi of K.C International as delegate of Iran – UNCSW committee, Aviral Kapoor of Jodhamal as delegate from Tiwan-UNSC Committee, Pradhanya as Asaduddin Owaisi -AIPPM committee, Medhaj Pathania of KC Public as Amit Shah- Lok Sabha Committee and Ayushi Sharma for IP Committee.
Secretary General Abhijay Singh Charak declared the conference closed with nostalgia in the air.
