Parents, teachers can play important role in eradication of social evils: DC

KISHTWAR, May 9: DC Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav today said that district administration along with police and public is going to involve the parents, religious preachers, teachers for removal of this social evil.
He was speaking at a workshop organised by the Social Reforms and Charitable Organization, Kishtwar in collaboration with Gandhian Societies Trust India on drugs abuse in the premises of Ashiana Home, Kishtwar in which the students from different schools and college participated.
He lauded the role of Social Reforms and Charitable Organisation for doing the noble work on social evils and working for the special children, down trodden people, needy and helpless women.
People from all strata of life also participated in the workshop where the speakers threw the light over the ill effects of use of drugs in society.
Khalil Poswal, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishtwar who was guest of honour sought the help of people for sharing the valuable information about the use of drugs in their areas. He informed that police administration has intensified the campaign against drug abuse.
The certificates were distributed among the participants. The women who did excellent in different fields have been honoured by the organization for their outstanding performances which includes. Dr. Jyoti Parihar, Principal GDC Kishtwar, Dr. Shabnam Laila Gynecologist District Hospital Kishtwar, Hamida Begum retired Teacher and Vijay Mala Sen, the renowned social worker.
Rajinder Kumar, Trustee Gandhian Societies assured that the Trust will extend its full cooperation for organizing such programmes in future.
Sanjeev Parihar, founder and president of Social Reforms and Charitable Organisation delivered the introductory lecture.
The others who were present on this occasion include, CMO Kishtwar, Dr M Y Mir , District Social Welfare Officer, Zubair Ahmed.
President Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS) Kishtwar, Surinder Sen besides prominent persons including Som Nath Sharma, Riaz Ahmad Zargar and others were present.
