JKMS holds ‘Geeta Dixit Memorial Scholarship’ ceremony

JAMMU, May 9: JK Montessorie School held ‘Geeta Dixit Memorial Scholarship’ ceremony in the School Auditorium, here today.
ID Soni, former Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides and a renowned social worker and an eminent educationist graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Neelam Nargotra, Corporator and Dr Vinod Sharma, Health Officer, Municipal Corporation Jammu presided over the function as the guests of honor.
School Chairman Sanjeev Gupta, Director Rajni Gupta, Operations Head Apurv Gupta, Ashok Dixit, Ujjwal Gupta renowned Fencing coach, Neeru Puri, Principal S.D Tara Puri, Usha Jamwal Principal BHMP School, Anku Charak Vice-Principal Humanity Public School, Navjot Kour Principal Shemrock Pre-School and Madhu Kapoor, Principal Smart Kids were present during the event along with parents of the students.
The programme commenced with the solemn tradition of lighting the lamp to evoke the blessings of the Goddess Saraswati. Aarti Gupta, Vice-Principal JKMS, in her welcome note extended a warm welcome to the galaxy of dignitaries.
The chief guest announced scholarship for the meritorious students, wherein Aradhya Anand-(6th Position) received scholarship of Rs 11000, Harnoor Kour-(9th Position) received scholarship of Rs 6000, Adityaveer Singh- (10th Position) received Rs 3000 scholarship, Nitish Pal Singh- (10th Position) received Rs 3000 scholarship, Sandhya- (98.6%) received scholarship of Rs 11000, Aakash Mahajan – (98%) received scholarship of Rs 6000, Tanvi Raina – (97.6%) received scholarship of Rs 3000, Vanya Gupta (Class- RTF- I) received scholarship of Rs 5100, and Manvi Sharma (Class 4th) received scholarship of Rs 5100.
The chief guest also emphasized on the importance of discipline in the life of the students and advised them to grow up to become good human beings, while guests of honour congratulated the scholarship achievers.
The programme was anchored by students namely Suhana Rajput and Satyam Bhat.
