RAJOURI, Nov 29: The police seized four vehicles carrying 17 bovine animals to Kashmir Valley via Mughal Road and arrested three persons in this connection last night.
A police spokesman said that a police party during naka between Thanamandi and Dera Gali intercepted four Tata Mobile vehicles bearing registration No. JK-11/9185, JK-11/8812, JK-11/8813 and JK-11/1108 and arrested four drivers. One of them managed to escape taking benefit of darkness. The vehicles were loaded with 17 bovine animals which were being transported to Kashmir via Mughal Road.
The police seized all the four vehicles along with seventeen bovine animals and arrested three persons identified as Mohd Irfan, son of Mohd Farooq, resident of Shung (Thanamandi), Altaf Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid and Mohd Maqbool, son of Ghulam Qadir, resident of Behrot. Police has registered a case against them. It was looking for the third accused persons.
