Counter misinformation campaign of NC, PDP: Vibodh, Manyal to BJP activists

JAMMU, May 15: BJP J&K general secretary and former MLC, Vibodh Gupta today said that on the one hand, local Kashmiri youth is connecting with BJP in facilitating peace and development in the Union Territory while on the other hand, National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is encouraging misinformation to create fear among the local Kashmiri youth to polarize votes. He targeted former Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister, Farooq Abdullah over his controversial statement on ‘Intelligence Bureau (IB) offering Rs 15,000 cash and cell phones to youths in lieu of information and that the agency would kill them at a later stage’ and termed it as ‘unfortunate’.
‘BJP workers should remain vigilant and defeat misinformation advanced by NC or PDP with truth and by making people aware about the Government works, policies, and public-friendly schemes’, Vibodh said while addressing a meeting of party leaders at BJP Headquarters here.
Speaking on the occasion BJP J&K general secretary, Devinder Manyal maintained that Farooq Abdullah’s statement on Intelligence Bureau, India’s internal security agency is unfortunate. He being such a senior leader should not spread baseless, communal, and provoking statements and should apologize for his irresponsible remarks, he added.
Manyal told that N C and PDP have lost their ground in Jammu and Kashmir and therefore their leaders are trying to provoke local youths by spreading lies and twisting facts. He said that for BJP national interest is supreme while for these power greedy parties grabbing power is the priority and they have left no stone unturned in spreading poison among the local youth. He also highlighted the efforts of BJP Government in transforming Kashmir from terrorism capital to tourism capital which has generated employment opportunities and boosted economy of the Valley.
BJP State secretary and Prabhari Reasi, Arvind Gupta and senior BJP leader and Prabhari, Naushera Sanjay Baru also spoke on the occasion. Naresh Singh, IT in charge, Ankit Gupta, BJYM general secretary, Abhishek Slathia, Anil Rakwal, Mohit Sen, Narinder Bali, and Rohit Shastri also attended the meeting.
