KATRA, Dec 2: Defeating Infamous XI in a well contested summit clash, Baby & Babies XI lifted the title trophy in the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Intra-Varsity Football Tournament, here today.
Earlier, both the team’s scored 3 goals each in the stipulated time, which forced the organisers to go for the extra time, wherein the winners managed a goal to lift the trophy.
In the stipulated time, the first 2 goals were pelted by Din Dayal and Sanjay Sharma in the 15th and 18th minutes of the play in the first-half, while the third goal was scored by Kavi in 61st minute of the match.
Sohail of Infamous XI scored 2 goals for his team in the 47th and 68th minutes of the match.
Ashok Kumar, Director Sports, SMVDSB and Prof Jughal Khajuria, Dean of Students Welfare were present on the occasion.
The match was conducted by S Sucha Singh and Ashok Kumar Katal, under the supervision of Dr Ajay Sharma, Incharge Activities.
