JAMMU, May 21: Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Displaced Wing held a meeting here, under the leadership of Rajinder Kilam, vice president non camp today in which various demands of the displaced people were highlighted.
The meeting said that the Government of India should concede without further delay the demands of the displaced people which have already been brought into its notice by the party.
It demanded release of assessed value of ex-gratia regarding gutted properties of displace people, compensation of last over 30 years losses against the left out properties, land , orchards, crops, live stock etc, allotment of quarters to migrants suffering from chronic ailments who are presently putting up in rented accommodations and filling up of vacant posts of PM package employees with a special reservation for displaced people in UT Government and stipend to highly educated youth, announcement of another job package of 15000 for the unemployed youth of the community with special recruitment drive for community youth in police and paramilitary forces.
Those who attended the meeting included S Koul, S K Matto, Avtar K Bhat, Shadi Lal Koul, Rinku Bhat and Vimal Koul.
