KVM delegation calls on DC

KATHUA, May 27: A delegation of Kathua Vikas Manch (KVM) called on Rakesh Manhas newely posted Deputy Commissioner, Kathua in his office chamber here, today. The delegation raised the demand of construction of pillar based flyover from Maghar Khad to Sahar Khad on Jammu- Pathankot National Highway 44 (A-1) covering Hatli Morh and Kalibari Chowk.
It also urged for early functioning of Inter State Bus Stand (ISBS) Kathua, the infrastructural facilities of which have already been completed. The delegation demanded the shifting of Fire and Emergency Station to an easily accessible location near National Highway A1 in as the present complex is situated in a densely populated and overcrowded Old City.
The KVM members emphasized for early operation of newly approved Degree College for Kandi belt at Sallan, proper development of Housing Colony, Kathua, widening of link road from DC Office to Housing Colony, development of Parshuram Ji Chowk and taking preventive measures for controlling the spread of dengue.
