DODA, May 31: Under ‘My Youth My Pride’, Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council organized football matches at Sports Stadium Doda and Kabaddi matches in Indoor Sports Hall, here today.
The events were organized under the direction of Secretary of J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Gul and supervision of Divisional Sports Officer Jammu Suraj Bhan Singh (Incharge Manager and chief Judo coach of J&K Sports Council in Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium Jammu.
A total of five teams participated in football and seven teams participated in Kabaddi events. In boys’ football final, Khelo India Football Academy Doda defeated Fariadia Higher Secondary School Doda while in girls’ football final, Khelo India Football Academy Doda beat Government Girls Higher Secondary School Doda.
In Kabaddi, Khelo India Kabaddi Academy Doda thrashed Fariadia Higher Secondary School Doda in boys’ final while Khelo India Kabaddi Academy beat GSS Doda in girls’ final. A total number of 159 players participated in the two-day programme.
Anil Gupta (Yoga Instructor, Indoor Complex, MA Stadium Jammu), Manmeet Kour (KIC Doda Incharge/Kabaddi mentor), Rameez Raja Malik (KIC Doda Incharge/Football mentor), besides PET teachers and staff of GHS Doda, Faraidia Higher Secondary School Doda, Alfa School Doda and Government Girls Higher Secondary School Doda were also present on the occasion.
