JAMMU, June 3: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa today flagged off first contingent of 194 players and 44 officials from MA Stadium for 66th National School Games.
Director Youth Services and Sports, Subhash Chibber; Joint Director YSS, Suram Chand; Deputy Director YSS, Jatinder Mishra; Deputy Director Planning, Ravi Kumar along with other officers and staff members were present on the occason.
The School Games Federation of India (SGFI) is conducting 66th National School Games (2022-23) in various sports disciplines in the age group of U/19 years (Boys and Girls) after a gap of three years.
The UT contingents comprising 383 (Boys & Girls) along with 85 officials are taking part in the 66th National School Games in 20 sports disciplines to be held at different venues across the country including Delhi, Bhopal and Gwalior.
Deputy Commissioner (DC), Jammu, Avny Lavasa said that the LG Administration is committed to provide all facilities to the sports fraternity including infrastructure so that they can perform better in national and international events.
She advised the players to focus on game rather than win or defeat. She said that the players are the brand ambassadors of UT of J&K and they should play the game with sportsmanship.
