JAMMU, June 5: Sarah Rizvi, Deputy Inspector General of Police, IRP Range Jammu, today visited the Battalion Headquarters IRP 12th Nud Samba and took stock of various activities carried out by the Battalion. She also reviewed the functioning of the unit and security of the Battalion premises.
During the visit, the DIGP inaugurated the newly constructed tradesmen complex and conducted a Darbar where officers and officials of the unit participated.
The officials presented their grievances, which were addressed on-the-spot. The DIGP instructed the Commandant to conduct regular Darbars to address the grievances of the Jawans and assured that welfare measures falling under the competence of PHQ/APHQ/ZAPHQ would be taken care of.
She emphasized the importance of being fully equipped with law and order equipment and arms while performing duties, and urged officials to maintain restraint.
She also stressed the importance of discipline, physical fitness through PT Parade/Yoga, and being people-friendly.
Abrar A Chowdhary, Commandant IRP-12th Battalion, expressed gratitude to DIGP IRP Jammu for visiting the battalion headquarters and listening to the grievances of the jawans.
Meanwhile, under the Civic Action Program (CAP) 2022-23, the DIGP IRP Range Jammu distributed study material such as school bags, lunch boxes, notebooks, and other stationery items to 60 school children of Government Middle School Mananu Samba.
