UDHAMPUR, June 11: Two books, titled Aassaniat-2 and Mitti Ke Mausam, written by well known writer and poet, Balraj Bakshi, were released here today under the banner of Anjuman-i-Farog-e- Urdu, Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu.
The book’ Mitti Ke Mausaum’ is an anthology of poems and Ghazals while Aasaniat-2 is a collection of nouns and verbs, the first book of its type in the sub continent.
On this occasion, a programme was organised, which was presided over by eminent writer Khalid Hussain while well known writer and Sahitaya Akademi Awardee Prakash Premi was the chief guest.
Prof Quddoos Javed was also present in the presidium. Other distinguished guests who graced the occasion included Fauzia Mughal, Ashok Sharma ‘Paras’, Dr Adarsh, Rakesh Jamwal, Ashok Sharma, Khurshid Qazmi, Anu Atri, Varun Veer, Amin Banihali, Dr Jagmohan Singh.
It is worthwhile to mention that Balraj Bakshi is the recipient of many awards including awards by Urdu academies of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Lifetime Achievement Award by Jammu and Kashmir Government.
