Several injured in clash between two groups

JAMMU, June 11: Several persons were injured today in a violent clash between two groups of different communities in Phallian Mandal area on city outskirts.
According to the reports, armed people of one community tried to raise a thatched house on a land allegedly belong to a temple at Ghaseetpur Channi Nanak in Phallian Mandal this afternoon.
When people of other community belonging to the area objected to their illegal act, a violent clash broke between two groups, leading to injuries to several persons, which were immediately shifted to nearby hospital for medical treatment. Some of them, which had severe injuries, were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for specialized treatment.
Those referred to GMCH Jammu were Faji (44) son of late Bashir Ahmed of Javed Nagar (Niki Tawi), Saleema Begum (32) wife of Mohd Hanif of Ghaseetpur Channi Nanak (Phallian Mandal), Mohd Mirza (27) son of Fareed Ahmed of Javed Nagar and Abdul Hamid (32) son of late Jamal Din of Javed Nagar.
Police Post Phallain Mandal had taken cognizance of the matter.
