JAMMU, June 12: Himanish Tripathi’s heroic cameo helped the KV Masters to register victory against Jaguar Cricket Club in a friendly Cricket T20 match played here today.
The friendly cricket T20 match was played under the supervision of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV2) Principal, Bhushan Kumar between KV Masters led by Samendar Rathore and Jaguar Cricket Club led by Jeevanjot Singh at KV2 School Ground, Jammu.
Jaguar Cricket Club (JCC) won the toss and elected to bat first. Their openers Gurmeet (39) and Jeevanjot (60) proved the decision right and managed to score 76 runs for the opening stand in just 6 overs. Raspreet’s hit quick fire 46 runs towards the end of the innings helped the Jaguars to reach 177/4 in stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, KV Masters started well but lost opener Naresh Kumar for 10 runs, but the steady partnership of 102 runs between inform batsman Sachin Kumar (56) and Ajitesh (46) sent the Jaguar bowlers on a hunt. The match was equally poised with 51 runs required off 30 balls. While increasing scoring rate KV masters lost five quick wickets, but heroic cameos of Himanish and Anuj Kamar sealed the match for KV masters with one ball remaining. Sachin Kumar was declared as man of the match.
