JAMMU, June 12: Khan Brothers Cricket Club defeated Extreme Strikers Cricket Club by 6 wickets in the final match to lift the trophy here today.
The cricket tournament was organized by youth of Team Jammu in which 16 teams from Jammu and surrounding areas participated.
The final match was played between Khan Brothers Cricket Club and Extreme Strikers Cricket Club, in which former team emerged winner by 6 wickets and lifted the title trophy. Ram Dayal was adjudged as man of the match. He also bagged man of the series award.
Former Member Legislative Council (MLC) and Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Vikram Randhawa was the chief guest on this occasion.
Randhawa said other than physical and mental development, sports activities play a vital role to widen vision and in gaining self-confidence which is key to excel in any field of life. He said that it is our responsibility to nurture young minds and bringing out the best in them. He urged the youth to take part in sports activities and stay away from drugs.
Zorawar Singh, Bharat Bhushan, Vishavdeep Gupta, Ramesh Gupta, Aman, Lovedeep Pathania and many others were present on the occasion.
