Vishwa Yog Sansthan holds programme

JAMMU, June 13: Ahead of the International Yoga Day celebrations, a programme was held by Vishwa Yog Sansthaan (World Yog Institute) at their Ashram premises in Har Ki Pauri, Bagh-e-Bahu, here today. The event aimed to make preparations for the upcoming global event on June 21.
The event witnessed an impressive collaboration of twenty organizations, all united in their commitment to promoting the practice of yoga and its numerous benefits. These organizations, ranging from educational institutions to social welfare groups, came together with a common goal of spreading awareness about yoga among the masses.
Lalit Mahajan, Chairman of Federation of Industries, Jammu was the chief guest on this occasion. He emphasized the significance of the International Day of Yoga and stressed the importance of taking yoga to the masses. Mahajan said yoga has the potential to bring positive transformations among individuals, communities, and society as a whole.
Yog Guru Karan, a prominent figure in the field of yoga, spoke about the pivotal role that yoga can play in transforming the youth of Jammu. He said by incorporating yoga into their lives, the young generation can overcome challenges such as drug addiction and contribute to building a healthier and more harmonious society.
Among the other esteemed dignitaries present at the event were Rajesh Padha, Rajan Gupta, Balkar Singh and Gursharan Singh. The planning event concluded with the formulation of various strategies and initiatives to be implemented in the lead-up to the International Day of Yoga. These included organizing awareness campaigns, conducting yoga workshops, demonstrations and encouraging community participation in yoga-related activities.
