SAMBA, June 15: The final matches of the second Brigadier Rajendra Singh Memorial Badminton Competition were organized by Samba Sports Club at the Indoor Stadium here today.
Former Jammu and Kashmir president, Rajput Sabha, Narayan Singh was the chief guest. While at the Municipal Council, President Pawan Kohli was also with him. He felicitated the players and gave mementos to the winners.
In the girls 19 years age-group, Tulsi defeated Nariana in Badminton, in the 19 years boys’ doubles category, Raghav and Shivansh defeated Satyam and Shaheen. In men singles, Hrithik defeated Ayran while in men doubles Nirmal and Akshit defeated Hrithik and Ajay Sharma and Deepak Sharma defeated Sudhir and Sandeep in the doubles match of the more than 40 years age group.
On this occasion, Sarpanch Ravindra Singh, Councilor Vinod Singh, Ankush, Arun Sharma, Rakesh Thapa, Deepak Sambyal, Lucky Sabyal, Ajay Sharma, Jai Sharma, Abhinandan, Akashdeep and Deepak Sharma were also present.
