To hold addl charge of Chairman & MD JKIDFC

JAMMU, June 16: Jammu and Kashmir Government today posted AGMUT cadre IAS officer Santosh D Vaidya as the Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department. He relieved Dr Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, of the additional charge of the post.
Meanwhile, Vaidya was also posted as the chairman of the Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh Finance Corporation (JKLFC). He was also given the charge of the chairman & Managing Director, Jammu and Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation Limited (JKIDFC).
An order issued in this regard read, “consequent upon the posting of Santosh D Vaidya (AGMUT:1998) to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and in the interest of administration, the officer is hereby posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department relieving Dr Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, UT of J&K of the additional charge of the post.”
The order further stated that Vaidya shall also hold the charge of Chairman & Managing Director, JKIDFC, in addition to this own duties, till further orders.
“The files of Finance Department shall continue to be submitted as per Government order number 1026-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated October 2, 2020,” read the order.
Another order issued by the General Administration Department read, “in exercise of powers vested in the Government of Jammu and Kashmir under section 15(1) of the State Finance Corporation Act, 1951, Santosh D Vaidya, Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, is hereby nominated as Chairman, Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh Finance Corporation (JKLFC) for a period not exceeding three years or till further orders in place of Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department.”
