J&K Bocce Ball team leaves for National C’ship

JAMMU, June 18: Jammu and Kashmir Sports Bocce Ball Association (JKSBA) have selected 12 players from Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory for the upcoming 7th National Bocce Ball Championship here, today.
The championship was scheduled to be held in Uttar Pradesh from June 20 to 22 June which was organized by Bocce Ball Association of India in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Bocce Ball Association.
Jammu and Kashmir Sports Bocce Ball Association held a flag off ceremony today where Mohd. Majid Shafi (PSI Gandhi Nagar) was the chief guest and Sunny Nanda, General Secretary J&K Sports Speed Ball Association was the guest of honor.
Officials said this was the 3rd time Jammu and Kashmir players will get the chance to play in the Bocce Ball National Championship to showcase their skills.
Sunny Nanda, while speaking on this occasion said that this type of sports activities will help the players to represent their State and country at national and international levels. The selected players are Srishti Sharma, Diksha Parida, Chetan Kumar, Sushant Thakur, Kapil Dogra and Chetanya.
Rehaan, Prafful Kumar, Navnish Bhagat, Yogant Singh, Kartavya Gupta (Crescent Sports Club Janipur) are the selected players. Sahil Kaith (team manager) and Renu Devi and Sunny Nanda will be accompanying the team as head girl coach and chief coach respectively.
