SAMBA, Dec 9: Degree College Samba trounced K V Samba Club by two sets to nil (2-0) in a easily contest and lifted the 3rd phase of Range Police Volleyball Friendship Cup at G.D.C. Volleyball ground, here today.
Monish Anand, DySP Headquarter Samba was the chief guest in the valedictory function, while Vice Principal GDC Attar Singh was the guest of honour. The chief guest and the other dignitaries distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
Earlier, in the summit clash, G.D.C.Samba trounced K.V.Samba Club by 2-0 sets to claim the title trophy.
In his address, DSP Headquarter lavished praise for the organizers in conducting the mega event successfully.
Prof Attar Singh, Vice Principal also appreciated the Samba Police for organizing the event.
Among others who present on the occasion are Dr MS Pathania, Prof Neetu Singh, Prof Jagdish Kumar, Dr Sandhaya Rani, Prof Renu Rajput, Prof Anupama Kumari, Prof Sarabjeet Kour, Dr Deepika Gupta, Neelam Chalotra, SHO Rajinder Singh and Chowki Officer Sidco Samba Khalil Ahmad.
Earlier, the welcome address was presented by Rajesh Gill, Assitt Principal PTS Kathua, the proceedings of the opening function were conducted by Mohd.Sadeeq.
The tournament was organized by Range Police Headquarters Jammu under the Civic Action Programme of Police headquarters, in which eight teams of the Samba Distt and adjoining areas including the teams of KV Samba and GDC Samba had participated.
The matches were officiated by Rahil, Deepak, Vimal and Sahil Sharma. The tournament was organized under the supervision of DIG Jammu Shakeel Beigh, SSP Samba Shalinder Mishra, DySP. Headquarters Munish Anand. SHO Rajinder Singh, SI Khalil Ahmad are the members of the organizing committee while Rajesh Gill, Assistant Principal,PTS Kathua is the Cordinator of the event .
