First Dalgate Premier League begins

SRINAGAR, June 22: The first edition of Dalgate Premier League (DPL) was kicked off at TRC ground by the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri here today.
The tournament is organized by the Cricket Fraternity Dalgate, and several nominated teams will participate in this prestigious tournament. The first inaugural match of DPL was played between United Cricket Club and Dadu Ranger, witnessing an enthusiastic gathering of cricket fans along with distinguished guests.
Divisional Commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest, while Bilkees Mir as special guest. Bidhuri highlighted the importance of Dalgate Primer League and said that not only sportsmen can keep themselves healthy but also encourage others to do sports activities.
In a fiercely contested match, United Cricket Club batted first and set a respectable target of 125 runs in their allotted 20 overs. The team displayed exceptional skills and determination throughout their innings, putting up a commendable fight. The highlight of their innings was Amir Beigh, who delivered an outstanding performance by scoring a remarkable 55 runs, earning him the well-deserved title of “Man of the Match.”
However, it was Dadoo Rangers who ultimately triumphed in this exhilarating encounter. Displaying exceptional teamwork and skill, they chased down the target with remarkable efficiency, securing a well-deserved victory with 5 wickets to spare. Their victory was a testament to their resilience and determination.
