JAMMU, June 23: International Olympic Day Run-2023 was organized by J&K Olympic Association with great respect, dignity and gracefully from Manda Chowk to M.A Stadium through B.C Road here today.
Large number of participants of the sports fraternity, officials of about 22 Sports Associations recognized by J&K Olympic Association participated in the run which was flagged off by Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Rajinder Sharma from Manda Chowk.
The representatives of Brahma Kumaris Yoga and Sports Sansthan along with Rajyogini BK Sudershan Didi Incharge North Zone Brahma Kumaris, BK Ravinder Bali convener sports and Yog Sansthan along with a large number of followers actively participated in the run.
Lots of arrangements including water at different points were made by the organizers; refreshment was served at the finishing point.
The International Olympic Day run has been organized throughout the world on 23rd June every year to commemorate the Olympic movements which started Athens (Greek) in 1896. J&K Olympic Association appreciated people for their cooperation to make the run a grand success, especially J&K Police, Traffic Police Jammu, Health and Municipal Departments.
